Mantis Bug Tracking System

How about running a bug tracking system like Mantis http://www.mantisbt.org/ to track the JUG problems and it also can be used to track bugs of the projects we will create. \\ ----- Michael Ageeb\\ OpenCraft Software Developer\\ http://www.open-craft.com

Good idea

It is a good idea. It requires php, Mysql which is available and easy to setup. ------------- Ahmed Hashim%%% Software Engineer%%% EDS Egypt%%%

BTW Michael, we can use

BTW Michael, we can use [feedback|http://www.egjug.org/?q=feedback] for to report bug. and it will be added to [the todo list|http://www.egjug.org/?q=site_todo_list] -------------%%% Ahmed Hashim%%%

It's a quick way to do

It's a quick way to do things but as you said to report bugs it's ok but not to track bugs . Did you got what i mean bug tracking is a process more than just reporting. ----- __Michael Ageeb__\\ OpenCraft Software Developer\\ http://www.open-craft.com

You might want to consider Scarab

You might want to consider Scarab http://scarab.tigris.org/ to promote a Java based issue tracking system in addition to it's benefits inherent by its flexible and general design If we intend to develop any projects in the future, we will need a strong issue tracking system any way

Hosting problem

It seems to be a real strong issues tracking system but unfortunately we need a Java based hosting to use it. And currently this kind of hosting is not provided by the JUG we got only PHP and MySQL.\\ I think in the near future the Java hosting will be available then we can use it. ----- __Michael Ageeb__\\ OpenCraft Software Developer\\ http://www.open-craft.com
