Ed Burns is a senior staff engineer at Sun Microsystems. Ed has worked on a wide variety of client and server side web technologies since 1994,including NCSA Mosaic, Mozilla, the Sun Java Plug in, Jakarta Tomcat and, most recently, Java Server Faces. Ed is currently the co-spec lead for Java Server Faces.
Hossam Karim is a Technical Architect. His career spans 7 years, developing, designing and implementing software for the education and telecommunication industries.
Pooya Darugar is an Architect for Microsoft Gulf working with large enterprises on software architecture projects with a focus on adoption of Services Oriented Architecture and best practices in software development. Previous to this role he was most recently Chief Solutions Architect at a silicon valley based SOA management and governance company where he worked on some of the largest SOA initiatives at early adopter enterprises working with both Microsoft and non-Microsoft technologies. Pooya started his career as a co-founder and developer for a high performance XML based EAI tool.
Alef Arendsen is Principal Consultant and co-founder of SpringSource. Originally, he joined the development team of the Spring Framework in early 2003. Alef is responsible for several strategic Euroean SpringSource accounts and helps them achieve great results using some of the Spring Portfolio products. Furthermore, Alef is responsible for several activities related to technical marketing. Last but not least, Alef is author of the best-selling Professional Java Development with the Spring Framework book. Alef lives in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Gisele Consoline has Master's degree in Computer Science at the "UNICAMP - Brazil", Ms. Consoline has experience in architecture and development of corporate Web systems, specifically in the Telecommunication and Health areas. Also, she has worked with the Java language since 1997 and currently develops projects at IBM Central, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa, Austria and Switzerland using J2EE, Servlets, JSP, JSF, Struts technologies, Design Patterns and UML.
