What about CMS (Content Management System) with portlet support?

Or adding new features to CMS like JBOSS Portal

Or add AJAX support for it.

As we are talking about AJAX, you can start new CMS based on AJAX.

try to think in this if you are good in J2SE:

in my graduation project I was required to build a desktop application with 100s of dialogs and frames, the application arch. follow the MVC arch. pattern and this design helped me very well to build a very flixable application.

but I faced many many problems in the development of this application, one of these problems was making validation for every textbox in any dialog to validate the user input, that was so sucks, another thing that took alot of time is that my GUI was writting in code so with every little change i had to recompile the application.

here is the idea: try to build a framework that looks like struts or spring, but for Swing applications, but this framework doesn't looks like XUL, I mean you will not build the UI components from scrach but you are going to use the current SWING components, the framework should give the developer the ability to make all the required UI in a declaretive way - in XML file maybe - and the developer should be able to add all the required features - like input validation - in a declartive way.

try to read about Struts to take a good view for this Idea

another one:

from 2 years there was a system called bluenet, search fot it documents in the college and try to make it again but with C++, this appliction try to send data from mobile to another using bluetouth, but as you the range of bluetouth is so small so they solved this problem by enable the data to routed from mobile to another until it reach its destination, simulating for lans.

but the team conclusion after that project is that it was must be built with C++ but they used J2ME.

Well we have an idea it is about a P2P tv sharing, it is just like th P2P file sharing but you don't share files , if you have tv tuner you are sharing your tv channel with others as packets and the others are broadcasting to others, but the problem is that it will need a LOT of bandwidth wich will make it not practical in egypt, but may be elsewhere, have anyone heared about something like this before
