Book Review: Android Wireless Application Development

Android Wireless Application Development by Shane Conder and Lauren Darcey is one of first books that address android development. It covers many topics about the platform and gives general tips for development not only for android devices but also for mobile platforms in general.

First chapter of the book is very interesting. It talks about mobile devices history and revolution of mobile devices in last years. Also it talks about how mobile devices usage has really changed by time from only making and receiving calls to using them to access internet, send and receive emails and also may be for complex usages like creating rich text documents and spreadsheets.

Next chapters cover multiple topics on the platform in brief. It covers a wide range of platform capabilities like data storage, 3D graphics, telephony apis, and others.
